Shazi Shabatian is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science degrees in Nutrition. She has been in private practice since 1994. In her private practice, Shazi uses the Intuitive Eating model to work with children and adults with eating disorders/disordered eating. She also provides medical nutritional therapy to clients with cardiovascular health issues, pre-diabetes/diabetes, and gastrointestinal disorders.
In addition to her private practice, Shazi served as a Clinical Dietitian at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center from 1994-2014. Her many responsibilities there included: Critical patient care, adult and pediatric care, outpatient counseling, being a multi-disciplinary team member on the AIDS unit, policy development and nutrition assessment in home care, and extensive lecturing to allied health professionals. These responsibilities earned her “exceeds expectations” at every annual performance review.
Shazi is married with two children and lives in Los Angeles with her family and rescue dog, Bijan. She loves to read, be out in nature, take photographs, travel, and entertain friends and family. She is fluent in Farsi and Spanish.
Shazi forms a special bond with her clients. Clients contact Shazi because of her experience and expertise, and return to Shazi because of her care and compassion.
